Monsoon Margaritas
Get ready for Monsoon Margaritas this Friday, August
12th at 4 pm. Tom
& Melodye Cooke and Del & Kris Bean will be setting
up the bar--both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Chips and
salsa will be provided, and Melodye promises her freshly
prepared quesadillas. Bring your favorite Mexican theme
appetizer, if you'd like. We've certainly had more than a
week of wet weather to celebrate.

It's Raining!!!
If you got out with your umbrella and galoshes to snap
photos of rain in the washes or a lightning strike on a
distant mountain, send your pictures to Denise
Roessle at
droessle@me.com.
Denise and Cynthia Surprise will be selecting a few shots
for our next Periodico.

Who's the Cleaning Wizard?
Some clever and hard-working EE-er has cleaned the poolside
chairs. They'd become so discolored from oils and lotions, that
our board had begun investigating their replacement. Lo and
behold!! They've been restored to white and yellow again. We'd
all like to thank whoever was responsible; and we'd surely like
to know what the heck was used to clean them.

We're Legal
On Saturday, August 6, HB2341 made neighborhood potluck events
legal in Arizona. Prior to the passage of this legislation, a
"non-commercial social event" was exempt from health department
inspection and rules only if it took place at a workplace. Who
knew?
